Slow to respond after long ride

Is it just my phone Motorola G4 but I find that Navigator is VERY slow to respond when touching the screen after I have been on a long motorbike ride. At first I thought it was because the phone was getting hot but now I am wondering if the phone might running out of memory because Navigator is not releasing cache memory. Anybody got any thoughts?

Even with the latest version, there is no improvement in the runtime behavior if the program is active over a longer period of time.
Yesterday I had a five-hour drive with the system running without navigation. After about an hour, the program reacts very slowly to actions.
The last version (5.0.62) is installed, but no improvement.

Today september 24. 2023 with MFN app 7.3.32 on an Android 11 phone it's still the same...

The same on my s5. MFN becomes slower and slower until the app crashes. MFN is running in internal memory.

On my Xiaomi Mi A1 I have no problems at all using MFN, while on a Nexus 7 the app is unuseable:
After some time, may be an hour or so, not only MFN (7.3.48) gets slower, the whole tablet becomes completely unresponsive and I have to restart it. I don't know exactly with what version this problem came up but I know that on my trips last year everything was fine.
Today I installed the old version 6.2.11 and everything worked as designed during a six hour ride. The problem is that this version doesn't show some maps (Germany, Italy). I'm going to try newer versions the next days so perhaps I am able to find out what was the last working one. -

We are now in may 2024, and the problem described by CKAJCA at the begining of this thread is still here, even in the last version...5 YEARS LATER !
I think I will jump to Kurviger, this really sucks.
