NMEA Files

Hallo,I found some files in the NMEA folder (*.trk). But I just cant import then to any program I´ve tried (JOSM, GPSBabel, GoogleEarth, etc.)How can I convert these files to GPX Tracks ( I would like to analyse my routes)?What settings should I juse e.g. in GPSBabel? Are these *.trk files NMEA files or is it something special made by mapfactory?Greetings,Ando

I’m using Navigator v.11.0.56. on Win CE 6.5. When I recorded a track, the output NMEA file had bad date that differs from Wince CE and GPS time. Today’s 2012/09/04 I have recorded as 1999/11/30 5:46:10+00. Any suggestion how to set right recording?

set your system time (is such setting is available on your device) and maybe check settings\GPS Settings\Synchronize Time

Thats the problem that system time is correct.

After review of NMEA file I expect, than file from Navigator don’t contain date but only time information. Date is only in the name of file. After conversion (GPSbabel, etc.) is than added some windows date such 1999/11/30

When you have valid GPS signal/position, you get time and date (which is not sent as regularly as time).

OK. Thanks. I have found that other applications don’t correctly transform NMEA files because date is really recorded in RMC message.
