Crash while navigating
  • I really like your navigation app.

But since a while a can't use it, because it always crashes (reset) while navigating.

If a stay on the same Position, everything is fine, but when i ride along it crashes.

I already disabled every addon, like cameras, speed warnings, etc. but same crashes.

Perhaps you can give me an advise on the log:

  • Meanwhile I found an errorentry in log which says:

"mapFactor exception: ArchiveManager: Archive '/' not found"

After that entry Navigator is restartet.

    Any ideas? Thx

  • I do not see any problem in the first post. No idea about context with the second post ... do you use imports?
  • Thanks for your answer.

I don't use imports. The context is as mentioned in my first post:

    1. Start Navigation
    2. Drive off
    3. Navigator crashes
    4. Logfile last entry: "Exception thrown: src/filedriver/ArchiveManager.cpp(91) message:'mapFactor exception':ArchiveManager: archive '/' not found'
    5. Restart Navigator manually
    6. Popup displays 'Extracting Applicationdata'

I already cleared cache, deleted all applicationdata and files/folders, deinstalled and reinstalled after boot (Google Playstore), etc. ... same behavior.

    Hope somebody can help?!

  • this looks like faulty SD, try to move Navigator to internal storage or use another SD
  • Hi tomas!

I've already removed SD, cleared cache, ... deinstalled and reinstalled - without SD. (I also thought it could be the SD ;-) ... but same behavior !

Meanwhile I installed directly the .apk (no Google Playstore) ... but same behavior !

    Ideas? Thx

  • go to Settings/advanced  and click Reset to default
  • Hi tomas !

Do you really believe that clicking Reset will do something else as reset all options - which is done in any case after fresh install?!

    Thanks anyway.
  • did you do it?
  • Did it and tried it. Here is a part of the logfile:

    All ideas welcome!

  • What about simulate route?
  • Hy !

Simulation was successfully finished. Thanks for the hint.

So it only crashes on real navigation ... ! Why?

    Alex
  • The problem is with GPS - port and its speed (on winCE You can change it).
    1. Check GPS on the other program, and if it is possible, port and speed - it should work.
    2. Check Navigator - there is 'information about GPS', in tools.
    3. Close the other GPS programs, (navigation, localisation), check Your anti-theft program.
    4. Install AVAST (antyvir), and check Your hardware.
    5. Check Your Android/ Preferences / Aplications / check each app and 'stop it' if not needed.
    6. I don't know (but hope You don't have to read this point).
