Setup Utility 10.2 is using the same registry as 11.x, so version 11.x should soon replace it. If you would still need older 10.2 let me know. sorry for the trouble Martin
install 11.x onto HTC HD2. Error - "No map Found! Install some maps first. The application will now exit" Had install maps into folder data but still can't. Want to send the log file to you but how to attach to this discussion?
I see only sounds installed - are you sure some maps were copied? Note, that version 11 requires new maps (not compatible with version 10!). Did you try to install maps directly to PDA or on the card? Thanks Martin
I just tested the PC Navigator 11 FREE alpha installation, and one problem that stumped me for quite a while during installation, is that downloading map data with the function "Install map data" -> "Manage map downloads" doesn't make the maps available to the application in the local pc. One has to use the function "install maps to memory card" which basically just copies the same files from the download directory into any other directory on the same pc for it to be found by the PC Navigator 11 application.
It would be more intuitive not to have to keep two copies of the map data on the pc, i.e., when running the application on the same pc that manages the downloads, it should be able to directly access the maps in the download directory.
Mine installation utility have the option to download map either commercial region or free region. Of course download the free region. No error, but running the program, no maps found error still exist
I had the same problem -- after downloading, you have to use the function "Install map data" -> "Install maps to memory card" (you don't have to actually use a memory card, you can just select some directory on your hard drive as a destination). It's not very logical, but doing this allows the application to recognize that the map data is installed.
The process is it as follows; 1) install application on to device 2) Install map data > Install maps to memory card (actually to PC folder) 3) Since the device do not have maps we repeat step 2 but this time install to device
Done above step 1,2,3 but still same result "No map found"
Hi Scorcorn9, version 11 is still alpha, so there could be similar problems - could be related to some strange path prohibited by W7, do not know. You have my contact email - at the moment we are not able to reproduce the problem. What could be problem is mix with old data - they have the same date so they do not automatically update ... but it is probably not the case. So it is pity and back to your original question, here is renewed link: http://download.mapfactor.com/setup_utility_beta_10_2_6-2_exp110630_e6e35e1bc3.exe
Program run on mobile initially asking for selection of language and voice. All select english and window default. Pause for awhile and screen back to window screen. How many time you repeat show same result. The program just do not want to continue.

Exception thrown: .\src\filedriver\ArchiveCursor.cpp(144) mapFactor exception: ArchiveCursor.read: integrity failed 5 ... means that one of the MCA files is corrupted, typically incomplete (download or copy over ActiveSync). Setup Utility 10.2.x and higher should check md5 of newly downloaded files. I would delete all downloaded MCA files on PC (maybe backup for comparison) and download them again.
