Navigator Free 11 crashes on WinCE 5/6

    I have a GPS which I was running Navfree 10. I have since changed to 11 when it came out. After a recent upgrade the program has become unreliable. I keep getting exception errors or the screen just locks or the program closes. I have tried upgrading and reinstalling the program also reformatting the SD card but the problems continue. The GPS is a GoCruise from ALDI running WinCE5 and Miopocket, I am using Australian OSM maps and use the unit to log the NMEA files to add to OSM. The errors only happen while moving in navigation mode or not.

    could you send me your navigator.log.txt file? Maybe the data are corrupted?

    Hi Peter,
    this log file looks like if everything went ok ... Application quit request... no exception, no routing, only one routing point was loaded (probably destination)?? Did it crash/lock in this case?

    Hi Martin,
    The Navigator has closed in the same location before. Can this be caused by something in OSM.
    I am including a part file from my other GPS which runs CE6. It shows duplicate files but the whole folder was deleted long ago. Might have to reformat and see how it goes.

    Hi Peter,
    the other version is a bit old:

    so I would start with that. Does is crash if you just move map to certain location? If yes, can you give me lat/lon? The November 2011 data of Australia should be on update on Monday so we can test that too, but I am not sure if it will help.

    Hi Martin,
    Both my machines appear to be working OK now, the map update seems to have fixed the problem. I had a further problem on the CE5 unit so I used a different SD card, no problems since.
