This is a huge issue for me. I have Listen Audiobook Player and it has function to pause playback for disruptions (navigation, notification etc.) and it works for notifications fine but Mapfactor just plays over the audiobook without triggering the pause. Is there a way to chase thing? It is really frustrating for me to use the GPS with this issue.

I can't test actually driving it right now but I ran the simulation and I'm still having the same issue. I'll try it out in the car tomorrow. Not sure if that makes a diff.

So I tested it out in car and it is not working. I was testing with the volume option in the new apk turned on. If you guys can update mapfactor to use audiofocus I'd really appreciate it.

Just one question: which announcements do you use? With TTS (like Pico) it does not work.

On my phone, the pause function works. I use the recorded voices. I have the option on and it works flawlessly.

I'm using Google TTS but I've tried changing it to recored voice and it still didn't work.

I did some experiments but it is not possible to do it with TTS voice and it is problem if someone wants to listen music during navigation... so it won't be implemented :(

Can't you just make it an option? Like leave it disabled by default and have a setting to enable it?

Or can you give me the experimental apk with that option turned on? I really really want this option.

Not sure us that helps but that implies it's possible to add it for tts as well.

OK, TTS is probably somehow possible, we tested this trigger pause with some applications and for us it didn't work as we expected (no resume in almost all tested apps). Try with recorded voices first, please

Recorded voices are working. I'll report if I find any bugs with it.

BTW thanks for implementing it. It means a lot to me.
