Assume I start Mapfactor Navigator on Android 4.4.4 and do some things.
Then I tap a couple of times on the "back" icon in the lower left corner so that my Android HomeScreen is visible again.
However Navigator is still running.
I can see it because of the tiny little icon in the top toolbar and its listed on the "running Apps" list.
So Navigator (and active GPS device component) costs me Akku power although I don't need it at the time.
How can I tell Navigator to really exit when it is NOT visible any more on the display?

In order to save battery consumption, you should first of all disable GPS when you don't use it. I believe that Mapfactor, when it's idle, consumes very little power, if any.

As Tomas mentions: you need to click the Exit button.
however, next to that you need to disable "Check Map updates" as otherwise a tiny kernel always remains running to check for updated maps.
