Start failure

    Version 1.3.43



    I
    have reported this via the Navigator Bug Report app but as I haven’t had any
    confirmation of any sort whether it was reported and logs uploaded I am posting
    this to the forum as well.



    The
    apps fails to start ( load ). It tries but it fails – screen reverts back to
    the device menu. It loads after a few tries.



    I
    notice that sometimes it happens after exiting the app at the end of a
    navigation.

    Installed the latest version 1.4.24
    Same problem I am afraid - failed to load the first 2 times and loaded 3rd time
    on 2nd time screen froze (cannot post the image) - I had to end it manually.

    Which TTS engine do you use? (Device settings/Input&language/Text to speech)

    This is my setup under Languages

    Application Language = System Default
    Voice Engine = Recorded Voices
    Voice Language = English: Mapfactor - Lotta

    I wanted to copy the log of a successful start but is too large to paste the text here - so just pasted a small portion of it. Unfortunately I dont know how to attach files or images in this forum.

    Just to make the above a little clearer. This text to speech setting is in Android settings and not Mapfactor Navigator.

    Look under Settings - Language and input - Text to Speech options - Preferred TTS engine. (android 4.2.2)

    Menu text is slightly different depending on version of Android. Screen shot from 4.4.*

    My device is a Blackberry Z10. I do not have an option for a choice of engine the same way as an android device.

    I have the other options though but I dont know how to attach the screenshot here the same way as you - please tell me (its quite easy on other forums).

    But as this is intermittent and it loads the app after a few tries I can live with this inconvenience. I prefer you use your valuable time in making the changes of my other request

    We do not officially support Blackberry devices. Blackberry do not support all Android APIs - http://developer.blackberry.com/android/apisupport/unsupported_api_jellybean_software.html . I think Navigator version 1.2.50 or older could work well there.

    As said I will manage with this inconvenience. I am more interested in the enhancements I asked previously - see discussions listed below.

    • Naming of waypoints and missed waypoints 
    • Profile - Optimisation mode 
    • Enable / Disable voice announcement of waypoints

    Lets make Mapfactor the best !!!
