No display of speed limits without saved route

    Hallo,

    the software can be used very well to avoid speed tickets. For this purpose it is not required to program a route. The display then looks like in this screenshot:

    (The status line is not right.     I couln't not shot while driving. The shot was created in demo mode at home. It was built from several pictures.)

    Unfortunately, the display of the speed limit is missing. The acoustic warning works very well. Do I use the same display mode with stored route the display of the speed sign is present.

    I would be very grateful for this improvement of the software. The Free Navigator is an excellent software. Thank you.

    Das ist für mich auch einfacher.  :)

    Nach dem Starten des Navigators rufe ich die Karte auf und fahre einfach los, ohne vorher eine Route zu programmieren oder ein Ziel ein zu geben. Das Kreuz mit den vier Pfeilen in der Mitte verwandelt sich in einen Pfeil der in der Mitte fixiert ist. Die Karte bewegt sich beim Fahren entsprechend der Ortsveränderung. Geschwindigkeitswarnungen werden akustisch exakt aus gegeben. Nur das dazu gehörige Schild fehlt. In allen anderen Navigationsmodis erfolgt zum Warnton immer auch die Anzeige des blinkenden Schildes. Halte ich die Geschwindigkeit ein, wird das Schild permanent angezeigt. Es wäre schön, die Schildanzeige auch für den beschriebenen Modus zur Verfügung zu haben. Sozusagen ein legaler "Blitzer"-Verhinderer. :) Dieser Modus ist für den schnellen Gebrauch in der Stadt einfach zu gebrauchen. Smartphone anschalten APP starten, Karte anzeigen und losfahren. Man braucht ja beim Fahren nicht immer die Navigation.

    Ok, noch einmal zusammen gefasst: du wünscht dir, dass im Kartenmodus das Schild bei Überschreitung der Höchstgeschwindigkeit zusätzlich blinkt?

    Genau. Und das natürlich auch immer, soweit die Info für die befahrene Straße vorhanden ist, die zulässige Geschwindigkeit permanent angezeigt wird. :) Jetzt weiß ich auch wie dieser Modus bezeichnet wird. Ich habe mich vielleicht ein wenig umständlich ausgedrückt.

    @MapFactor The user has a request for map mode. The speed sign (if shown) should blink when driving too fast.

    Gunnarmd - did you ever resolve this? I have the same questions / requirements - it appears unless in navigation mode speed limits are not shown - I hope this will be added in a future releases as i feel it degrades the product from functionality which just needs unlocking.. Other NAV products have a general drive mode, Im very surprised to see mapfactor doesnt support this, as its rich in more detailed features.. - The basic overhead map view is very unhelpful for general round town driving. If 3d view, speed camera and speed limits were added, this would be hands down the best NAV product on the market.
