Route instructions

I've always noticed that (in English) the route turn instructions are given as "Turn left... in 500 yards".
In areas where there are lots of junctions close together this can be a bit frustrating.
It would be better to say "In 500 yards, turn left". This way you know the distance to look ahead for the turning and not mistakenly think you have to turn immediately. -
