GPX import does not work

Hi,
with my Android 10 phone the import of GPX files by open it direct from file browser does not work any more.
I get the message: the selected APP does not support opening this item using a 'Content URI'.
This will not supported by Android since 2018/2019.
Are there any work arrounds for this problem?
