Can't come back to menu (from navigation mode) anymore.

Since the last updates, I can't come back to the menu from the navigation mode (map).Before I just had to push the "back" button of my phone, now if I do so, all that happens is that the app freezes some seconds, and then seems to close and I have to open it again..Is it a bug or there is another way to open the menu from the map?thank you!ps. (My phone is Lenovo A536, Android version 4.4.2)
