License validity for the tomtom maps

For the purchase of the tomtom maps for navigator is the license valid all life or do you have to renew your license each year? What is the frequency of updating ?

TomTom maps have no expiry date, updates are charged at approx 50%
you can update any time in the future, no need to do it with every release.

thanks for the answer , mapfactor could negotiate some offer with totom like tomtom map around twenty Euro for lifetime update, I appreciate much Mapfator navigator but the Tomtom maps are much reliable so the offer of Sygic is really achallenge
