Change zoom level for when local road become visible on map

Is this possible? I see we can edit the size coulor outline and fill but I really need to see the local roads at wide zoom levels. Is this any different with the TomTom maps?

Is anyone at least able to confirm if the Tom Tom maps show the local roads at lower zoom levels?
