How to remove icon from map

    New to Navigator, I am experimenting to learn all of its features, of course! 
    Now, I tapped the map screen, to reveal the right-hand sidebar menu and touched the 'Start' icon.  I do not know how to remove it or does it get superseded at some point?

    this creates favourite - go to My places, click on it and select delete

    Tapping the map and then touching the "Start" icon creates the starting route point.
    It gets superseded the next time you create a different Start point or you can go to settings-route-info and delete this or all routing points.
