Delete a route

Maybe I am to stupid - but how to delete a route? It is shown on map until I define a new route...., but sometimes I want just a clear map.
There is in Menu/My Routes a point delete, but this is just for stored routes, not for the recent one - as it seems.
Help is welcome. -
