Android hangs up

Hi. I used Navigator for Android for some time in car and on bike. and found it great. Then it suddenly stopped working. When I start it now it displays the menu, but if I select 'map', or select 'my places' and then open the map, the map is frozen, displaying a location in Keswick as it happens, which I was interested in a couple of days ago, and not the place I am asking for now.
I am really missing Navigator and would appreciate any advice.
Using a Samsung Galaxy 7.0 plus and Android 3.2 (rooted).
