Get fresh clean map?

How do you get a clean fresh map to begin building ie. planning another route? Win7 Navigator 12 or Android Tablet 4.4.2...... I find it difficult to do?
Is the "New Route" hidden some where I'm not finding it? I can find the "calculate", "save" etc but why isn't there a fresh start map button?
