About TOM TOM Maps

I just downloaded the Tom Tom US maps for my android tablet. Loaded it up but can't see any obvious improvement over the free OSM maps. At this point, I feel that I've wasted my money. Was there any additional files that I needed to install? I'm running NavFree ver: 1.2.25

navigational maps are not just what you see - routing attributes are much better in TomTom maps resulting in more reliable routing, more house numbers and POIs, motorway signs, lane advisor...
it is a very good value for money
