Seriously.. How do I input a street address?

I am never asked for a street address when searching. Only state, then city, then street name and cross street. I want to enter a street address like 123 N Jay St.

You mean housenumbers? Housenumbers are available to Navigator, when they exist in OSM Data. You can become a contributor to the OSM network and add housnumbers there. They will be available to Navigator with the next update or the update after the next update. And it is like it is, you only can search in this order as you post above, when using the MF search funktion. Alternatively you could use Google search option from within MF, when you are online.
