Reading maps without gps
Did you check your system settings? In my previous phone (Alcatel) I could switch off GPS to save power. But not one single application could switch it on again. I really had to do that in the system settings and then my apps could use the gps again…

I simply copied chattiewomans coordinates into the routing_points.xml and used that for routing. So I used the exact same coordinates.

Yes, you are right. I tried with a couple of cycleways which are prohibited for cars (of course) and MapFactor refuses to use them. This is in 1.3.24, so it is not only in the 1.2.xy Google Play release version.
