Mapfactor keeps crashing after start.
Two posts above Tomas adviced your to clear data and cache (and take a backup first). You do not write if you already tried that. You only go on about how many times you reinstalled Navigator.Try the "clear data" first

Yes. That sounds like a very good goal and functionality.I was only thinking of the car navigation.

I only use Android, but I don't think that makes a diference in the maps. Maybe in the program, I don't know.I first checked on the (Linux) laptop in OpenStreetMap.org to see if the exit numbers were there. Then I checked my phone for the t…

No more access to data-folder??? (Android 11+12)
@MB76Search in the https://groups.google.com/g/osmand archives for my modified routing templates for OsmAnd based on midifications of the heuristic coefficient. They are 3 - 20 times faster and can be used for distances over 1500 km.Note though that…

No Route found from France to England
OsmAnd and Magic Earth have the same problems as Navigator. It really seems to be an isue in OSM. Searching a starting point in OsmAnd: Search adress/poi; when found click (bottom right) "Actions", select "route from".Then search…

Sometimes it also differs which maps you take. If you take entire UK and Hauts-de-France, or UK South-East with Haute-de-France. MNF sometimes has difficulties with large complex (multi-)polygons which cross borders (administrative boundaries).I too…

In your car profile you have to enable "Small local roads". It is by default deselected, which already leads to this same question for many, many years. Not your fault, but an incorrect design decision by MNF (for many, many years :) ).

sync backup w/o Drive
You are right, either an rsync server or better an ssh server to rsync encrypted through an ssh tunnel. Syncopoli has an internal rsync client thst supports rsync and rsync over ssh. Another option is RCX. It is an Android version of rclone which ca…

Test of version 7.0.x for Android
In the BT settings on your phone, you can have several audio output options depending on the connected device, like phone calls and media-audio. Are both set?

It is depending on the zoom level. When zooming in the rivers and lakes apear. Also for really big lakes that should be visible in the world map.So is it something wrong with the world map, or the rendering of the world map? Android 9 by the way.

I assume it is a rendering bug. It doesn't show rivers and lakes either in the Dutch map and I did not recently downloaded a new map.

Test of version 6.1.x for Android
When I go to Settings -> Manage Apps, it tells me that there is hidden data (415 Kb), but I can only remove it or uncouple the app. Still no clue where the data is. I guess it is more convenient to backup to local data and copy that folder to GDr…

Create a mca poi file in Android?
On several occasions I simply connected a bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard to my phone. On my Morotorola G6+ and previous G5+ that works/worked great.Much better than an onscreen keyboard.

postcodes are not always 5 numbers. In the Netherlands it is for example 1234AB or 1234 AB. That makes it more difficult.

How to change the opacity percentage of "Navigation Highlight" [solved]
At this moment you can't change the opacity. All those colors for navigation and the like are hexadecimal numbers with 6 digits, like ffaa3e, for RGB. 00-FF for 0-255 in decimal.Normally you need 8 digits to be able to set opacity, like ccffaa3…

The nmea file does contain altitude in its $GPGGA line and speed (in knots as that is the standard) in its $GPRMC lineThe gpx contains altitude, but does not contain speed. Is there a reason why the gpx does not contain speed?
