Routing issue between Freiburg and Hinterzarten (Germany)
keepright is weekly updated when it comes to data, but the scripts haven't been updated for some time and contain errors (at least so I'm told by a few insiders). Better use OSM Inspector: http://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/

Today I had to drive about 100 km to a destination. Navigation went fine and voice assistance via tts functioned fine. On the way back I suddenly realized after about 30 km that I didn't have voice assistance. I stopped and started navigator: n…

It is an OSM error and it has been resolved some 20 days ago. This is AFTER the last navigator map creation. I also checked with OsmAnd, first with the August map and it has the same issue. The new OsmAnd map was released on 2 September and that one…

Thanks rab. Now I understand. It was already corrected. That's why I didn't see the error. I should have checked the history.

Actually it is this split in the road: http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/47.92213/8.05067 and it has to do with the turn restrictions for the change:lanes. It is not the "opening" of the split but the "closing" of the split. …

This thread is tagged as a bug and I fully agree with it. This is about the simplest fix mapfactor can make.

Can you be more specific about the endpoint? When I create a route from the mentioned coordinate towards the B500 it works fine. I have the same map dates. edit: There are quite some turn restrictions on that road with regard to ramps and exits and…

What you show us is a track point file. Track point files have never been meant to be used as route files. For that you use either a waypoint file or preferably a route point file: please read wikipedia or better read the GPX standard on this. track…

No, you don't need to create a torrent folder. You are probably using direct downloads. I was wrong. Navigator also does a CRC-check of course upon finishing the download. (But you could get that error also when using the normal bittorrent down…

That is a bittorent error. Check your SD card /Android/data/com.mapfactor.navigator/files/navigator/temp/torrent most probably you will find an mca in there. I guess the problem is that this one belongs from a partly previous download. The map is n…

If I understand correct: - If the early access map doesn't change, it will be the same map as will be released one week later. You don't have to download again. - If the early access map is not correct, for whatever reason, a new map will…

When you have all the maps for a region, and they are the newest ones, you don't see a button (which is not too clear, now that I think about it). For UK I have on entry without regions button, for Germany I have one entry without regions butto…

Contact address search does not work offline
Yes, it is a main feature of Navigator to use offline mapdata, like a couple of other OSM based nav apps, but the OpenStreetmap data hardly contains addresses. Only Denmark (100%) and the Netherlands (98%, as of 06 Sept 100%) contains full address d…

Where did the UK postcodes mca go? It's no longer in 1.3.26 (and maybe neither in 1.2.50). Is it integrated now in the UK map? (Edit: And where do they come from and how old are they? The reason behind this question is that in my previous nav …

navigation from current position
If you have no GPS signal (like sitting on the sofa and preparing a ride) you must use "from a to b", as Navigator can't calculate a route if it doesn't have a GPS lock. If you are outside with a gps signal, you don't need …

No, the app is directly downloaded as far as I know. But the downloading of the maps, including voices and world map, is done via bittorrent. And yes, in that case you have direct connection to the other peers in the bittorent cloud for that specifi…

I assume this is the bitlet bittorrent client inside MapFactor Navigator that takes care of the downloading of maps. Was that what you were doing?

Reading maps without gps
Hi Jennifer, That is not what MDX means. If your device doesn't have GPS coordinates, it might well go to 0,0 which is in the middle of the Antlantic ocean. So please search for a town (Roma?) and try to display it on map.
