Startup - can you choose what happens at startup? (go straight to map mode)

Is it possible to get the app to go straight into map mode?What I'm wanting to do is get navigator on my android head unit to go directly to map mode when powered-on and also to give speed limit warnings, to save me getting a speeding ticket.It is possible to do this without the need to tap on the map icon after startup?
