No, I dont think so. Because in some (other) cases a voice saiys "the destination is in a non-reachable area" (german, dont know if this is the right translation). But it is stupid to navigate to a destination that is not reachable WITHOUT a warning (by car! bike, walk is OK). In my opinion its a nogo for a navigation-app
I find, that Navigator is not very reliable, when using some restricted areas. So I found, that it did not find a route in an area in Dresden, which had just the OSM tag "destination". Yesterday it did not start calculate a route at all from a private ground, also not from the nearest public road.
OK, "nice" to hear that I'm not alone with my problem... Its frustrating when you plan a trip with car and then recognize that there is no change to reach the destination (like planed)
There is some chance (you do not mean change? ;) ), if you put start or destination somewhere near to an abvious public route and drive the rest like using the app like a map :-S
Yes, CHANCE (Deutscher der schlecht englisch spricht). But how to recognize a abvious public route in MF? If I already know, that the destination is in an private ground, than I dont plan a car-trip to this. So somebody has to tell me, that its private. MF does not (thumbs down)
That depends on the MAP? I think its not a MAP-"problem". In my case, a "real dialog" with an OK-button would be the solution (instead of a mini-2-second-popup)
What else is the reason, that tomtom map can do, what OSM maps cannot? Eventually tomtom maps are not as accurate als OSM maps are :D and treet some private roads as public ones?
