Hi, trying to use the Shanghai map on Android.

A couple of q's:

Searching is hard (I'm trying to type the English name). Have managed to use the menu Search->Google to find streets by typing in English name
If I find the street, when pushing ''show on map', none of the street names are displayed

Is this a language problem with OSM / and how can I see street names (in English).

Settings -> Localisation -> Map language

Don't ask you question twice. That doesn't help you. It only makes it very annoying.

Thanks for the reply, however, I'm still stuck.

Settings -> Localisation -> Map language - is now set to English

The Shanghai map still doesn't show any street names (regardless of language). Major highways have an English name, that's all).

What am I doing wrong?

probably because OSM hass no English names

Is there a layer or an alternative I can get that does have English?

I'm sorry to say but this is really a bug in Navigator.

OsmAnd and Magic Earth do this without issues.

may be you can give more details

in HK I can see English names and also on some streets in Shenzhen, Shanghai...

Some streets are visible in English.

In both other programs almost all streets are visible in English

I tapped the screen and selected 'info', I hope this is right - 31.221784, 121.475298
