behaviour navigation with recalculation off

I create a route with a departure, destination and two waypoints. I have turned recalculation off.
At first I followed the calculated route.
Then I left the route. Mapfactor did not respond (expected behaviour)
A little while later I came back on the route. I expected mapfactor to start following the route again with instructions.
But mapfactor did not do anything. No visual instruction and no audio instruction.
Is this normal behaviour?

It is quite expectable, I was against this function from beginning. Navigator is always testing only next position of route, if you are out of route then it is recalculated. When you disable recalculating you have to copy the route exactly... if you dont then you stop getting instructions.
