How to edit maps?

The neighberhood I live in, isn't correctly displayed on the maps. I'd like to help and edit the streets. How do I do that?
And another question. When I want to navigate to a place, I get 2 extra places (With white flags), to set as waypoints. How do I delete those?

Free maps are created by volunteers at www.openstreetmaps.org - just create account and you can start editing
to delete waypoints go to Route info

You can also delete way points on the map. Just pick them and the pop down menu on the top will show the white flag with a cross on it pick it to delete.
