Importance of Route Points

It would seem to me that if ...you take the time... to set "Route Points" then that should pre-empt "Route Setup" ie Fastest, Shortest, Cheapest".
It is maddening to stick Route Points (go) and even blocks (no go) and have them ignored by 1 selection in Route Setup.
How about it..................... a 4 th selection ie "MY WAY".
You have something good going here but it sure could use some "operational" smoothing out. Thanks! Rant over.
