POI icon enigma

I have noticed that when I create a POI file with Digger the icons always display with a dark red background. It is very difficult to differentiate between icon colours. However the same background is evident with the built-in POIs too. Is there a way to fix this?

if you click show on map, it will be highlighted in red

Yes Tomas that is correct but I don't know any other way to display them!

if you know where they are just go to map to check icons colour

You are quite right. The icons are there but so mall that I did not notice them. I have since increase the size and re-run Digger! -
you can increase icon size also in Settings/Map scale, but it is for all icons
