Missing street names from search?

I am using Navigator 11 Free with OSM and I am having some trouble finding streets with the search feature. For example, my home street shows up on the map but when I search for it I can't find it. Why can I not find so many streets from the search function? Do I need to purchase the commercial maps in order to have the search work?

It's ok, I resolved the problem. It came from a lack of data in the OSM database. Someone at MapFactor emailed me back and explained that while the streets are defined in OSM (I can see my home road), the cities are generally defined as points with only a few streets associated with that city. I resolved the issue by purchasing the commercial version of the software and maps.

Many streets in Wellington, New Zealand are missing from the search index (for example, Braithwaite St, Wellington, New Zealand and Wilton Road, Wellington, New Zealand).
They do show correctly on the map.
They are searchable at http://www.openstreetmap.org/, for example:

I am using Navigator for Android 0.9.124 on Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.0.3.
