Swipe from left brings up 'Choose action' menu

When on the Map view screen, a swipe from the left to return to the Home screen also brings up the 'Choose action' pop-up menu. That pop-up menu then needs to be dismissed in order to do anything on the Home screen. The 'Choose action' menu is only applicable to the Map screen. It appears a swipe from left is being interpreted as a long-press as well. Pixel 6A, Android 15.
