Doris ist nicht die TTS Stimme, sondern die aufgenommene. Könnte es sein, dass du TTS in den Navigator Spracheinstellungen gar nicht aktiviert hast?

As hvdwolf indicated, normally in map mode Navigator behaves exactly as you expect it to be. Are you using the latest version? Check settings for map . 2D - north always up should NOT be chosen.

The conditional tag generally is ignored. I mean that some time ago I suggested to introduce it at least in combination with the maxspeed tag.
