OK, I am outing myself as a total beginner: Using the latest Android app version (1.3.20), what do I have to do in order to get spoken street names (in German)? I'd love to test them, too :-)

Road types (Navigator 12 vs. OSM)
And at last I think residential, service and living_street only should be used to route anywhere, if there is no other possibility to get to target. That's exactly what has been mentioned here in this forum by other users (myself included) ma…

Missing turning instruction
But you can drive straight. When we look into the OSM data, we see just a service road, but in reality this road is as wide as any other residential road. Without the map, I would have driven straight instead of left. That's why I find an instr…

:-P Ach, Hauptsache jeder versteht, was ich eigentlich meine! ;-) Please note that when you drive straight somewhere else, where road name A ends and road name B begins, there IS an instruction (to drive straight). Here again, the road name changes…

Can we users do anything about routing strangeness of "Free"?
Hi Jochen, zur Prüfung der OSM-Daten wäre es einfacher, du würdest unter osm.org auf die passende Stelle zoomen und uns dann den OSM-Link zeigen.

Routing via barrier=bollard with car ?
I checked it myself, zwiebelchen is right: Although you stated on June 12, that bollards are now implemented, they are ignored (in this case, at least). Was this due to my comment on June 20, where pedestrian navigation was handled incorrectly...?

Road types (Navigator 12 vs. OSM)
Probably the topic is kind of "inconvenient" for the (two) MapFactor guys: In the past, there have been multiple requests dealing with the road types (cateogorization, layout, routing behaviour). Thus the issue is known, but either they do…

Edit .mca files?

Was stört dich an ihm? Die mca-Dateien sind übrigens die Karten, die haben mit dem Navigations-Pfeil-Problem überhaupt nichts zu tun.

Use the map view to set routing points (or at least the final target point) manually. Then you can navigate.

Navfree disregards bollards between Lange Brücke and Große Arche, Erfurt
Bollards in OSM always imply access=no, foot=yes and bicycle=yes (unless you add these tags individually). Bollards should not have been implemented in Navigator until pedestrians are considered correctly in MCA. We have lots of footways that begin …

Auto-Zoom not applied in map mode
Map mode Tricky is to determine: when to start the auto-zoom? I think there is no good automatism available, as often, maybe in pedestrian mode?, auto-zoom is not necessary. Thus, I suggest to provide a button in the map to start and stop auto-zoom.…

How does it work in navigation mode? You analyze the current speed (or whatever it actually is) and adjust the view. Works only when GPS is on, of course. If it is off, nothing happens. What do the other users think?
