I am not sure that this is the same problem, but one user was swiping in recent application list - that is not closing applications, just removing entry from the list to close Navigator you need to click the Exit button

Truck routing on Android?
truck attributes are frequently missing in free maps, routing would not be reliable. For that reason truck version is with TomTom maps only - Map manager/buy maps.

sorry, but why would this be bug? you are simply informed that there is a new version of maps installed on your device if you do not use free maps, you can unistall them and then you will not get notification

close Navigator and delete data in Android settings/application manager/Navigator - then reboot your phone.Please take backup first, otherwise you could loose your favourites...
