1) swipe screen to the left 2) as 1) 3) may you mean route overview, which is displayed during navigation only

close Navigator and delete data in Android settings/application manager/Navigator - then reboot your phone. Please take backup first, otherwise you could loose your favourites...

I do not know how often Osmand releases maps, but did you test on January maps? I was merely stating my observations, nothing else
