Why won't it let me enter house numbers?
@lagiraudiere I tried to find out Informations about a proposal for "associatedStreet" and couldn't find any. So I have no idea, how this scheme has been accepted "officially" in OSM. But anyway: it exists and is in use. And…

Why won't it let me enter house numbers?
@lagiraudiere: ok "associatedStreet" is in use but as I wrote above it's still not approved in OSM-Wiki, but the alternate "Karlsdruhe Scheme" is. For me there schould be just one tagging-scheme for adresses, but that should…

Long distance ferry routes
Another example: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/23567561 This ferry-route is about 400 m long but you need about 15 km or so more to come from Knightstown to Caherciveen without it. And so for me "important ferry" is pretty relati…

turn lanes not displayed
I just checked way http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/55932797 and found out that it is not mapped as a secondary_link according that wiki-page http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Link_(highway) . Such situations with "bypasses" will p…

@SunCobalt: Reading upper posts you will see that the blocking of access=destination should only happen under that reason: http://forum.mapfactor.com/discussion/comment/4840#Comment_4840. In Navigator you would see it as "blocked road" (wi…

Long distance ferry routes
Reading this I understand now, why this problem exists: http://forum.mapfactor.com/discussion/3845/private-way#Item_5 So we got a conflict. But you can solve it that way: Allow routing through "highway=service" only if there are no other p…

Hi tomas, sorry, but the editing a few days ago had nothing to do with the "access=private"-tag. "access=private" is there since 1.Jul1.2011. riedlblower wrote that above and you see it in the way's history. Maybe its becaus…

Look here: http://forum.mapfactor.com/discussion/435/how-to-make-turn-lanes-in-osm-appear-in-mapfactor-free/p1 At the moment lane-assistance in navigator free ist still experimental.

As I've seen at German OSM-Forum http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?pid=345339#p345339 according to a mailing-list lane-assist now should work. I simulated the route shown on that picture http://up.picr.de/15083158ku.png and got the l…

Alarm by POIs: wrong signal
The Problem is the way how speed cameras are collected in OpenStreeMap. Most of them are beneath the street as a point (node) without any relation to the road. So Mapfactor will warn you, if a speed-camera-node is near the street, because in some ca…

As far as I know arrows on a street in Germany correlate to the next highway-junction. A cyclelane has it's own arrows. The Glacisstraße is splitted at node 20929591 because the mapper meens to tag some meters of the road with foot=no, because…

Hi you Martins, in general it's ok that lane-restrictions should be shown on motorway or trunk. But I dont confirm with the opinion, that its not really necessary inside of (bigger) towns. As a stranger there it can be very stressful to find th…

Hallo jose1711, I think that there will be no real chance to support lanes and turn lanes in Navigator Free, until there is no mainly accepted way to map them. As far as I know there is just one scheme allready approved since March 2012: http://wiki…

Who provides the OSM maps for your Android app?

Being anywhere without routing but searching for a POI by name (lets say McDonalds or Starbucks or...) the shown POI's are not sorted by distance to my position and so it's impossible to route to the next reachable. Please implement.
