Are you sure? Try multiple apps.Android 5.x has a well-known bug which results in wrong altitudes. Only few phone manufacturers corrected this bug. Even Samsung did not correct it (I had a Samsung S5).So are you on 5.x?

It is working fine.If I say something to Google Now it reacts immediately. In Navigator it just takes a bit longer. As I'm a very impatient person :) I considered it a bug.But again: it is working fine.Currently on the 4.0.45
