Bluetooth Sprachausgabe über Car-Audio
I drive for my work in different cars all having other builtin bluetooth equipment (I assume) and for some of the cars I had exactly the same issue. In one of the car the board computer mentioned something like "outgoing call" and then …

I agree with Oldie. And on a motorbike without screen you still count exits. simple as that. It is obvious that people have different preferences. The fact that I react on this topic is simply because I prefer the current way of working staying as d…

Splitting Italy Map into regions (like France and Germany)
France and Germany are also way more then 4 regions. I assume you mean to split up Italy in 3-4 parts?North, middle and south for example?

local street problem
Yes, the tagging is correct. My guess is that navigator only recognises the general "motor_vehicle=...", not the more specific tags like motorcar and the like. When tagging such detail it should also have "motorhome=no", "ag…

I'm afraid that some users might have problems with degrees.Anyway, it only works with 4-spokes roundabouts which are very common in Germany and the Netherlands. In France and Great Britain I have seen and driven multi-spoke roundabouts which m…

This could work very well with 4-spokes roundabouts, but not at all with the 8-spokes roundabouts I referred to (or 7-spokes or 6-spokes)

You can't embed your images directly in this forum. When you do that only you can see those images (so it seems like it is working but it isn't). You should use some external service like nl.tinypic.com or fotos-hochladen.net or anything f…

Yo can't set that in Openstreetmap. Of course you can tag the spokes as being private or service, but it's upto the application to decide what to do with it.Also some users might think differently about it: Some simply count the number of …

Fastest and shortest path: an example of bad route calculations
There is another option: speed penalties (and not for driving too fast). OsmAnd uses that. What it does is calculate a speed penalty in seconds for traffic lights, speed bumps, cross-roads, etc.The most basic form is supported by all nav apps: moto…

It has been mentioned numerous times in this forum by so many users: enable small local roads as an app default. In that case you won't have these repeating posts where you always mention "try to enable small local roads"

Switch NMEA and GPX positions in record menu

Switch NMEA and GPX positions in record menu
NMEA might be better for debugging, meaning for the MNF development team. How many is that? 3, 5, 10? And users are only using NMEA if developers ask for it. Comparing that to those tens of thousands (hundreds of thousands?) of users using gpx thi…

I assume your phone has a usb port for loading on the upper side of the phone. Therefore you place it upside down in your car charger. If your phone does not support 360 degrees rotate it will stay upside down. That is not navigators fault. Try one …

Where (in which folder) are OSM maps stored? Dir changeable?
Yes, that is how it should be. Although on my device I also have a 35MB containing folder MAGICEARTH in the root of my internal memory.

And if you install one of the other nav apps like Osmand, Magic Earth, Maps.me, Navmii or so and install 1-2 maps. Do they move the maps to the external sd-card? That would also rule out whether it is a Navigator error or not.

You have very special hardware :) In your Android settings itself you should have some option for Storage (Opslag). Does that mention anything about internal memory and external memory and how it is allocated?

@Jan_Gruuthuse:You mention some posts ago that you configured your SD-card as "portable storage". That's not right. In Android 6 portable storage only allows for pictures and media, NOT data. See https://motorola-global-portal.custhel…

I think that the biggest issue is that navigator "locks on" too often to other roads in these kind of situations, and then crashes. When looking at that roundabout I "cross" 13 roads. But maybe I'm completely wrong in my ass…
