river not drawn properly
mes is right and I didn't think it through well enough. The ijssel is indeed the border of 2 provinces between Deventer and Zwolle, but it is a thin line over its entire length where it starts in Gelderland. The ijssel also starts completetely …

river not drawn properly
We had the same some 2-3 years back with a German river, but as I forgot the name of it I can't find it back (which also makes it hard to prove). As far as I can remember it had something to do with the multi-polygon crossing country borders or …

The Dutch one also pronounces distance first and then the navigation instruction (despite my first comment in the thread mentioned by John)

I thought I did it for Dutch, but can't find the file anymore. Neither from the decompiled apk, like in res/values-nl/strings.xmlWhich file is/was it?

setting voor visible/invisible water area
The tagging for both the BodenSee and the Ijsselmeer is identical, whereas the Bodensee is 536 km2 and the Ijsselmeer is 1100 km2. Why is the Bodensee displayed and the IJsselmeer, being 2X as large, not? Same for "Lac de Neuchatel", 218 km…

It wasn't a very likely suggestion either. Why would Jan change profiles between 2 map updates? His purpose is to do reproducible tests. You don't change vehicle parameters in between in such a case.

I also reported this once for the IJsselmeer. The answer at that time was that the multi-polygon might not be correct. AFAIK the "map maker" at that time who left MNF, mentioned that. The "current" answer that "some features…

I can't find whether it has been mentioned before. The navigation color that is displayed as overlay on the road, is often displayed as underlay. It is very clearly from node to node in the road. This is in hardware mode.

Speeds used by MFN higher than speed limits
@Delfin: As far as I can check, your road example has a speed tagging of 80 KM/hr, but MNF uses the 100 km/hr setting as internally defined for the type of road? It doesn't look at the setting "Use speed restrictions" for that specifi…

@Delfin and @JambaFee: Sorry. You are right. But not in all cases. I tried Delfins example and MNF calculates an incorrect ETA. It is using too high speeds. When using Mapzen and Graphopper they calculate correct travelling times. However, I used it…

The reason why this was done in OsmAnd is because of the huge size of the maps due to the enormous amount of details in the maps. For the bigger countries it was not all possible to create a full-country map due to the 2GB limit. Smaller countries w…

If you make one favorite outside the folders and position it on top, like a home favorite and/or a work favorite, you can easily create new folders. These new folders will be added at the bottom.

How to find villages without street names?
Yes, I consider it a bug. Also because in Poland hamlets can have house numbers connected to hamlet name. Not to a street. In Japan and Russia the addressing can work differently as well. By means of house blocks in grids. I have no idea how Navigator…
