synchronize the "Favorites"
The files contain text and can be edited if the contents need to be synched. IE if one has A, B and C and the other has A, C and D then by editing both could have: A,B,C,D

Export 'My Places'
Luckily for me, I'm a programmer(novice for Android) and can write code to convert placemarkers to the format my other programs use and to convert their placemarker formats to those used in the favourites.xml file.

GPS tracking of driven routes
navigator automatically wrote a tracklog of waypoints into a nmea file in its nmea folder. The waypoints were recorded too frequently for easy use with the other software I have for measuring. I must have had the wrong settings on my tablet. Doe…

GPS tracking of driven routes
I've used the free Android version for keeping a tracklog of walks I've taken. I haven't tried it in a vehicle. Most of the menu items are intuitive. The only problem I had was finding the icon to save a PlaceMark. It's the ST…

Non graphical menu does not work on ASUS MeMO pad 10
Thanks for that. It's a lot faster than doing an un-install and reinstalling navigator. However it does not fix the problem with navigator's dead Menu button after setting non Graphic menu. It still is dead after changing the setting. Oh…

What geo Uri format needed for navigator to go to the location?
Thanks, I'll try that. I guess I was just lucky that the format I was using did as I expected. I like being able to give a name to the placemarker that is shown. Meanwhile I will work on an app that reads waypoint files and allows the user to …

What geo Uri format needed for navigator to go to the location?
Thanks for the response. I used decimal degrees originally as shown in the first post on Nov 13.Uri=geo:0,0?q=36.8671,-93.4398(Cox Ford)&z=17 Because Maps and MapQuest both worked with that format, I expected navigator to also work. Another pos…

I have an app that can read waypoints(lat/long/nickname) from different sources like .kml files. The user can select one and ask that it be found on a map. The program issues an Intent with the geo Uri as shown earlier. The Android system then pre…

That Uri works with Google Maps and Map Quest. I would expect that if naviagtor lists itself as a choice with those other programs as an app to display a location, it would take the location's coordinates in the same units as the others. When …
