I'm using MapFactor Navigator free with OSM maps for my Android phone. The navigation software running the GPS is good, BUT I always have issues with monthly map updates. The download for updates takes ages or forever and download speed is very very slow. For example like today....I started downloading map updates from 8am and till now (11:30pm) it hasn't complete the downloads. That's more than 12 hours....and I only download updates for my existing maps (Brunei=1MB, Singapore=2MB, Malaysia=14MBb and Thailand=32MB). On previous occasion the download took an average of about 6 hours to complete and this is also after several attempts. But today is the worse..... I'm also using MAPS.ME App for android and I use the same OSM maps (Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand) BUT the difference is their map updates for the same maps took only 45minutes max. Their maps size are even bigger because I select maps with routing. Is there any way out of this problem whenever it comes to updating maps???? Just a thought - Since both apps are using identical OSM maps, could it be possible to swap or use MAPS.ME maps for MapFactor Navigator??? Your help and assistance is highly appreciated.
