this is an intereting point - many times I looked at alternative routes on Google maps and NEVR selected any other then the primary anybody with different experience?

Difference from Navigator Free and Full for WINCE
Navigator free uses free maps from OSM, paid version uses TomTom maps TomTom maps have a lot more house numbers program is the same

Free maps are created by volunteers at www.openstreetmaps.org - just create account and you can start editing to delete waypoints go to Route info

Prevent stopping MapFactor
I replayed this journey three times, once in normal speed, once with screen switched off and once 10x accelerated - no crash problem could be caused by 1. corrupted map files 2. faulty SD 3. TTS engine (try human voice)

I get 462 meters with default car it could be incorrect vehicle settings, but more likely map data mismatch - check that both Germany and Austria are from the same date

Make MapFactor the default Navigator
I think you need to disable default for Google maps. Android settings > application manager > all > contacts > clear defaults
