Traffic lane assistant

Hello I just noticed the feature on Mapfactor Navigator 10 "Traffic lane assistant" is that like in the screen shot on your Homepage the 4 red or green arrows on the bottom of the screen?
If so is there a setting for enabling this in the MF 10 free or is this a feature that only works with the teleAtlas Maps?

At the moment this feature works only with TeleAtlas maps, because there is no corresponding data in OpenStreetMap, as far as I know. There is a tag 'lane' (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:lanes) and proposed feature 'lane directions' (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Proposed_features/lane_directions) which could be used. Do you know about some well mapped area with lanes in OSM?

Hello Martin, well i have looked arround on OSM and did not find any of the lane markings that they discussed. Germany at least where I am is really well mapped and I did not find any. I guess this goes on to the list of extra Features that you get with the paid version. Thanks again for the super Software. Regards Chris

the proposal looks interesting but I do not see any 'turnlanes' in relations tag 'type' ... so maybe later.

A 'Lane assist light' could be integrated into MapFactor free. About 80% of the Dutch motorways have the 'lanes' tag. That makes it possible for a lane assistant to show the number of lanes for both the left and right side on a motorway_junction.
