close Navigator and delete data in Android settings/application manager/Navigator - then reboot your phone.Please take backup first, otherwise you could loose your favourites...

cutoff date depends on when OSM creates planet - it usually is just after end of calendar month I do not think that even OSM will give you exact date

if you do not have default_settings.xml, then installation went wrong you will need to uninstall everything and delete folders mentioned above then start again

TomTom Free (limited time) trial??
at this moment we do not have time limited version, sorry performace and battery consumption is the same as with the free version you do not loose favourites, you should be able to see the4m in both free and paid maps
