Saving a route
Main menu | Routeinfo | Routing-Points (Tab), in the bottom line you find save as. Translated by me from the the German menu, maybe somewhat different in the app. Navigator 30125 Android.

May be, but hdwolf's car set obviously does not have a (mobile!?) data connection but only wifi and bluetooth for data transfer. So it does not help him, that his phone may connect via mobile data to the hd traffic servers, what it certainly do…

Location of map download version
Check main menu, settings (!), map manager, data source, if you have chosen OSM maps there. This menu is a different location from the map manager in the main menu.
