Hi Matthias, problem is that POIs in OSM maps have no link to any city/village. Best is to select ANY town, or search locally from map. Or use Google search, which is, of course, online. Windows version is both for laptops and embedded car systems. …

mapexplorer can be made to display OSM maps, but only with some manual editing of xml files, it would not be that difficult

TMC is included in both free and paid version, but free maps have allocation tables for Germany only. What do you mean by tracking?

Hi Matthias, once per month is not that long, only August is a little delayed because of holidays. You cannot use Mapexplorer to edit OSM maps.

openstreetmap edit update
you can also download maps using our PC version: http://navigatorfree.mapfactor.com/ once maps are downloaded, copy them to your device, navigator/data folder

Yes, I agree it would be crazy, but once exceptions are used, then it will route incorrectly somewhere else. I though there was not speed limit on motorways in Germany. That is not to say that it is unsolvable problem, I am just trying to explain.

it is still 3s faster on slip road, I think some parts of slip road still have no speed restriction
