bottom righ icon on your picture is indicating that, if you click on it, 3D will be next mode it is not directional arrow

TomTom maps have no expiry date, updates are charged at approx 50% you can update any time in the future, no need to do it with every release.

with alternative routes I get two results 1. 7.8km 6min A365 2.7.3km 6min A361 default car settings not sure how Google can do it in 1 minute
