With OpenStreetMap data you have two options:
1) Add your data to the source, i.e. openstreetmap.org. You will then see your update when we release the next set of MCA files for that country. This way you can also share your data with others.
2) Import the data directly in to Navigator (this way your POI are not automatically added to the openstreetmap.org database). Download the import utility for Windows PC (http://download.mapfactor.com/digger_10_0_57_exp120101_8ca2c32e11.rar [edit link]) and create your own MCA file.
Hi,

after 2017 and 2018, today I took a third look at "Magic Earth" (also OSM based).

Result: has improved, but I still mostly like MFN better, except for one thing: TIME ESTIMATES.

Two concrete examples: I regularly use two routes - quite different in composition (city streets, some Autobahn , city streets / some city streets, more Autobahn, some country roads), but both, barring traffic jams, have a median travel time of 15 minutes.

Both apps offered a choice of three routes.

Magic Earth: 14, 15(my usual route), 18 / 15(myr), 15, 18

Navigator: 8(myr), 8, 9 / 9(myr), 10, 11
[I even tweaked my Car profile in Navigator to use the minimum speeds that occur on those two routes - for example the second Autobahn has 50% at 80 km/h, 50% unlimited; I set Navigator to 80km/h]

SURELY after years and years and YEARS of complaints by various users it MUST be possible to get this right!?

After all, as seen above, others can do it!

Kind Regards,
Jochen

Hi, I have recently started trying out Navigator. I particularly like the flexible route options.
I have a question about mini roundabouts. I have noticed that Navigator does not seem to give instructions when approaching them in the same way that it does for normal roundabouts. For example, at a mini-roundabout where you take the second exit, it just says "bear right". When approaching from the opposite direction it gives no instructions at all ie it seems to be treating the mini roundabout as a junction where another road is joining the major road which I'm on.
I am using the openstreetmaps. Is there an option to make instructions at mini roundabouts more verbose?

LG Optimus 3D max P720 phone, Android 2.3.6. Before the phone format I used Mapfactor 2.1.197 and OSM maps all over Europe were displayed. Maps of England and France are not displayed after the phone format. I installed these maps on the micro SD card and also on the phone's internal card with the same result: no roads. This can be seen: http://universis.cba.pl/map.jpg Android cannot change to newer because I will lose support for 3D photography. I am asking for some help.

Hello,

I need help on settings for navigation voices.

On my car navigation all voice messages are heard like initial second or two for each message was missing.

As example - instead of "turn right" I hear only ".. right".

I have tested in different languages - the "recorded" ones are all suffering the same. However, the "synthetised" speech is less impacted - but it is hard to understand for me, so I would prefer to use recorded version.

It looks like on my device the voice files are played "too early" - before the voice control is given to the navigation software.

Could anyone sugest if there is ony option that may instruct Navigator to "delay" the playback of message? I was searching around the Forum and the help files available, but with no success.

I use latest version of Navigator FREE 19.1.4 and my device is Blaupunkt car audio on WinCE6

Thanks in advance for any hints!

dnobpr
