  • try to set it manually, or edit file settings.xml, section GPSTMC

  • I only have default_settings.xml

i cant find any settings.xml file in my card
  • settings.xml is created from default_settings.xml when first used
    so you can amend default_settings.xml
  • I changed those lines now the navigator wont start up
  • may be you used wrong text editor?

  • i used wordpad
since notepad does not open it in vertical form

  • yes, wordpad can put some header in
delete it, start Navigator, default_settings will be recreated
    then amend it with notepad
  • With notepad you could use "Linebreak" (German Zeilenumbruch) from the Format menu.

Better use Notepad++, this is OpenSource.
  • Ok just one more question please
Im trying to run navigator on a device with resolution 800x480 WINCE 6.0 (China 2DIN)
256 mb ram and idk the other tech data.

THE PROBLEM IS UNTIL I GET TO THE HOME SCREEN EVERYTHING WORKS FINE, THEN I CANT SEE NOTHING THE SCREEN GOES BLACK AND THE DEVICE SLOWS DOWN UNTIL I REBOOT IT AND WHEN I TRY TO START NAVIGATOR AGAIN THE LOADING SCREEN IS ON BUT WHEN THE SOFTWARE LOADS I GET THE SAME PROBLEM BLACK SCREEN EVEN THOUGH THE NAVIGATOR IS RUNNING BECAUSE IT FLASHES FOR 1-2 SEC SOMETIMES AND I CAN SEE THE BUTTONS AND THE WORLD MAP THAT APPEARS.

Is there a way to modify the resolution in PC so i can run it on my WINCE UNIT????
  • try to delete file album.style
  • Deleted the file but no luck same problem :(
Other navigation software like iGo run with no problem but i had mapfactor navigator for a long while in my phone and im used to it.
  • it could be corrupted map files?
  • I dont think so because i tried the installation over and over many times but still same problem
  • You can see the problem on that video
  • I do not see black screen
what I see is that Navigator does not start, probably because you do not have all files installed (one was mentioned in your video)
install Navigator again from Setup utilities
it could, of course, be faulty SD
  • Hi Tomas

I tried reinstalling it approx 50 times and i tried 6 different SD cards 4 of them new SD cards and with different sizes, also running another navigation with the same SD it works .
All the SD im trying are class 10 ones.
I always get the localisation_ch.dll missing
I can upload another video to show how im doing the installation to SD card so you can see if im doing it right or not.
  • Installing steps until the problem appears again

I seen it now when installing the software in the utility it says PDA driver not avaible
    https://youtu.be/h6hWSA4tkcQ
  • Any solution to this ??
  • try to install to a folder instead of route

  • Hmmmm i think i was overreacting at the part where the navigator flashes its that it is restarting after the first run.
I turned the device off then on again and when i pres Navigation voila its running perfect.
The only "problem" now is the arrow, but i seen a solutuon somewhere in MFN forum.
    Thank you for your help
  • Ok everything is working except there is no voice coming out of the software :(
  • check that sound have been downloaded and selected
  • Checked everything re-downloaded and checked but no sound coming out of software
